Fastest Word Processor:
Microsoft Office has everything that you would expect from a word processing application. The latest addition offers a brand new ribbon menu offering the same that can be seen in the latest Windows 8/8.1 Operating system. It contains basic elements for text editing including font-family, colour, style and also warping or rasterizing the text. This sounds quite cool from the designer’s perspective that needs to have a preview of how any font actually works. One major improvisation that has been made in the product is translation ability. You can now translate the text written in any language to a respective language and vice-versa. For this you will be required to have various languages pack, at least of the languages that would require translating frequently. Another great feature include ‘Track Changes’; this has been in the Word from few previous versions, however, in Office 2014 it has been advanced to newer algo.
Spreadsheets and Presentations:
Microsoft Excel is the most preferred application for spreadsheet maintenance around the globe. This is the same application behind your invoice and transactions that are made and the receipts you get. Excel makes the process a way more easily than anything else you can try. The main attraction remains to be its function library which is huge containing all major calculative formulas and functions. Charts functionality adds a cherry on the cake as you can easily add the chart that is totally based on the sheet data. To keep it simple there are also some sort of templates added that makes it look good.
Another stunning application of office suite concludes PowerPoint which can be used to make the presentations. The application features to add several pages, specifically called ‘Slides’, you can add any number of slides in your presentation. Slide is the main area where content needs to be added, and this can be considered as a black drawing page where you can add almost anything including text, images, clipart, audio files and now videos too. Further there is transition and styling effects that make the elements move around the slide.
